What is a Surge Protective Device (SPD)?
A Surge Protective Device (SPD) is an essential electrical component designed to protect electrical equipment from damage caused by sudden voltage spikes, known as surges. These surges can result from
• Standards compliant GB/T18802.1, IEC61643-11.
• They are suitable for TT, IT, TN-S, TN-C and TN-C-S power supply systems with
AC frequency of 50/60Hz and rated voltage of 230/480V and below
• Teleindication contact SPD can be made into a product with teleindication contacts
If one or more modules of the protector fail, the contacts will be closed and a fault
message will be sent.
•The voltage permanently applied between the two terminals of the surge protector
should not be greater than the maximum continuous working voltage Uc value of the
surge protector.
•The voltage protection level Up of the surge protector should be less than the withstand
voltage and impulse limit of the protected equipment.
